Bush Addresses Louisiana College's 100th Anniversary

Former President George H.W. Bush said today he is glad to know Louisiana College is based on good, solid Christian faith-based principles at a time when ôour values are literally under assault around the world."
Bush also emphasized service to the community in his visit to Central Louisiana today to help celebrate Louisiana College's 100th anniversary.He attended a private brunch, was the keynote speaker at a morning chapel service and addressed an audience at the Riverfront Center.Bush said a strong faith is important, and his son, the current president, relies on his faith to turn the tide of criticism.
He also emphasized the importance of friends and family today as he addressed the luncheon banquet.Bush filled his addresses with humor, even recounting stories about hating broccoli and throwing up on the Japanese prime minister. Both drew large press coverage while more serious issues didn╝t, he said.
